What makes this image SO UNIQUE in the UNIVERSE?
YOU are buying the “entrapped” Cosmic Rays that reached EARTH in a precise time, of TRUE, UNIQUE, RANDOM and UNREPEATABLE events in the ENTIRE UNIVERSE!
This is a 5×6 Matrix of 30 dark exposures (shutter closed), each one of 1200 seconds, taken with a QSI 532ws-M1 astronomical camera (S/N 00502354) cooled at -20°C.
Each frame of the matrix measures 2184 x 1472 pixels (the pixel size of the camera sensor, a KAF-3200ME CCD).
The background of each frame was colorized, for artistic purposes.
Date and time for each individual exposure is available (#1: 21/03/2009 18:53:45; #30: 28/04/2009 01:24:03).
If you ZOOM IN the image (see example at image 2), you will find, for each frame, the “COSMIC RAYS that reached the ultra sensitive sensor!
